Urban agriculture can create numerous benefits to a community: enhancing community cohesion, improving the quality of the local environment, increasing access to healthy foods, and providing income for city residents. As the world’s urban populations grow, urban agriculture is expected to become an increasingly important component of a sustainable food system.
