Food Systems - General
A food system includes all the components involved in producing food and getting it to consumers — the land, water, farm inputs, crops, transportation, processing, packaging, marketing and advertising, purchasing, home/restaurant processing, preparation and consumption. A sustainable food system takes into account its environmental, social and economic impacts, and strives to make healthy food available to all community members.
